Introduction

Ed Partners Africa is an on-banking financial institution committed to expanding access to education through innovative financial solutions.

The challenge

Our task was to understand the needs and aspirations of different school directors and to find a scalable school management system that aligns with those needs and effectively supports school operations.

Our approach

With the aim of deeply understanding customer needs and functionality requirements, we conducted three research activities. Interviews with 30 school directors provided key insights. All qualitative information was organized to derive the main findings of the discovery phase.

The outputs

Value proposition map
We provided a 2-part value map that:
  • Outlines the customers' needs, top tasks, and pain points
  • Describes how to solve the customers' pressing needs, offer features to accomplish their tasks, and address their challenges.

School management analysis report
We also provided a comprehensive report on the several school management systems that we analyzed, focusing on their different functionalities, capabilities, scalability, and their technology frameworks.
